Overview

A Cohesive and Intuitive Approach

This icon set demonstrates a strong sense of visual unity, achieved through consistent line weight and minimalist geometry. Each icon is designed within the same visual framework—utilizing a balanced stroke, simplified forms, and negative space—to ensure clarity and recognizability at any scale. The icons maintain individuality to reflect the unique aspects of each Sustainable Development Goal while feeling inherently part of a cohesive system. This deliberate harmony enables them to be used collectively in educational, digital, and print applications without visual dissonance.

Keyline Grid

A form foundation built on precision

To ensure visual consistency and balance across the icon set, I used a keyline grid as the foundation for each design. This grid helped align elements proportionally, maintain uniform spacing, and create harmonious shapes within a defined structure. By adhering to the grid, I was able to establish a cohesive rhythm and scale throughout the set, enhancing both legibility and aesthetic unity.

Visual Language

Consistency and unity through repetition

Repeating visual elements—such as consistent stroke weights, geometric shapes, and corner radii—were intentionally used across all icons to create a unified visual language. These shared design features reinforce cohesion, making the icons feel like part of a single system while allowing each to retain its individual meaning. This repetition also enhances recognition and usability across different contexts.
